AYA YAMANAKA

Born in Kyoto in 1987, he has lived in Shiga and Berlin before moving to Tokyo where he is currently based. He graduated from the Kyoto University of Art and Design's Fashion Design course. After working as an apparel salesperson, he moved to Berlin, Germany in 2013. After working as an assistant to various designers and artists, including BLESS and Leonor Antunes, he began to create his own works. Keeping in mind the fact that a lot of clothes are discarded today, his current theme is not to simply create new things, but to use existing materials to create new value.
