BLESS was founded in 1996 by Desiree Heiss and Ines Kaag.
BLESS is a design team founded by Desirée Heiss and Ines Kaag. They started out in Berlin, Germany, and are currently based in Berlin and Paris.
Desiree Heiss was born in 1971 and Ines Kaag was born in 1970. They both studied fashion at university. They met while studying in 1993 and hit it off. They began designing together in 1995. Their first design was a poster made in 1995, followed by an advertisement for iD magazine in 1996. This was called "N°00" and was the first creation made as BLESSE. In 1997, they founded the company BLESSE.
He has a strong conceptual element and spends a lot of time coming up with ideas. Rather than creating the latest products, he creates value by using materials from the past based on careful research. His products are numbered "N°00" and "N°05". He also works on his own collections, presenting collections of clothing and accessories, while actively participating in project activities.
In the past, he has worked on numerous design projects for fashion brands and companies, including Levi's, Maison Margiela, Kostas Murkudis, and ZUCCa. In Japan, he worked on a project for Hotel Claska.
In 2006, to commemorate the 10th anniversary of BLESS' activities, they released a book called "BLESS BOOK". As a pre-order sales event, an exhibition was held at Caban de Zucca in Minami Aoyama. Zucca and BLESS have collaborated on many occasions in the past, including exhibitions.
In 2009, she collaborated with ON ZA LINE to release "Bless N°33 Bouquetlight Porcelaine made by ON ZA LINE". In the same year, she designed a limited edition of Longchamp's Le Pliage bag.
