Personal Matters

Personal Matters is a project label founded in Tokyo in 2023 by Daisuke Hamada.

Craftsmanship passed down from all over Japan and carefully selected high-quality natural materials. We propose products that gently fit into your daily life while interacting with the tranquil beauty that resides within them.

What we are looking at is the aesthetic of white space, which is linked to the uniquely Japanese concept of "wabi-sabi" - something that is modest yet has a dignified presence.
The organic cotton shirt, which was launched as the brand's first product, is a piece that combines the power of the material, a structured form, and meticulous attention to detail.

Founder Daisuke Hamada studied architecture before moving on to fashion in Tokyo, Paris, and London. He launched the brand "Niuhans" in 2010 and has been active as a designer for around 12 years.
We launched Personal Matters as a place to express the sensibilities and philosophies we have cultivated in a more personal and contemporary way.
