- Growing older with fashion.
NagaoDaisuke Suddenly I realized
I've been in this industry for over 30 years now.
It had passed.
As we get older
It feels like time is passing faster
It's something that everyone has in common.
My interest in clothes began
This happened when I was in high school.
It started out very simply.
The desire to be popular.
Every day is spent immersed in baseball, with a shaved head and school uniform.
There was no sex appeal whatsoever.
Meanwhile, there were fashionable people in town enjoying the bubble.
They are dazzling and I envy them
I want to catch up with them.
Before I knew it, I was in a "swamp" called fashion.
It began to sink quietly.
The old clothes of that time
It was still within reach.
It was a time when even Umeda Loft sold second-hand clothing.
Used regular Levi's 501 for the first time
I got it in the winter of my second year of high school. It cost 3,800 yen.
It was about the same price as Uniqlo denim today.
It wasn't the price that was at play there
It was "culture."
Buying clothes was buying culture.
A piece of vintage clothing
It took me to a whole new place.
Through clothes, your world expands.
That feeling is still burned into my memory.
In their 20s and 30s
The passion remained the same.
But from the time I was in my 40s
Little by little, I began to feel a change within myself.
To choose clothes
I began to feel a bit reluctant.
Changes in age and living environment, fewer opportunities to socialize
The need to dress up naturally faded away.
And then I realize.
"But still, I want to wear something good."
I understand as an adult
The value of “good things.”
Not just clothes, but tools, food, and lifestyle.
What is good varies from person to person.
That's why,
It becomes important to have it.
When I was younger, I could choose things just by feeling.
As we get older, we start to look for reasons to choose.
And then one day, I think.
"I don't think anything I wear will suit me anymore . "
But I want to say.
Because we get older
Fashion is necessary.
When you can no longer rely on the weapon of youth
What best reflects me is
Fashion is a way of dressing.
Adult clothing has space and serenity
And you need a clear idea.
Anything is fine
It will no longer be enough.
Not "how do I want to look?"
Reflecting "how you want to be"
I think it's an adult style.
We have a limited amount of time in life.
That's why we must live each day carefully.
I want to live a life of enjoyment.
Fashion that gently embraces you in the midst of all this.
I want to continue to choose
I want to deliver this message.
Fashion defines the way we live
He gently traces it.
It's not just for young people
Now that I'm older,
I believe that it is necessary.
